ASTROVASTU FOR DIWALI

Category: Vastu, AstroVastu
Diwali is the festival of lights which falls on 21st of October 2006. Indian homes and hindus all across the world celebrate Diwali to invite richness and prosperity into their life. Come Diwali and Indian homes are busy  whitewashing, cleaning and purchasing new household and decorative stuff. During this time the house must be decorated and lighted to invite Goddess Lakshmi – the Goddess of   Prosperity.

This Diwali consult a Vastu expert  to renovate  your home, purchase the right decorations to invite prosperity, select a vastu perfect colour scheme, understand the vastu  drawbacks in the  house affecting  the progress, harmony and health of the family and implement remedies to enjoy life long prosperity and harmony.

Diwali is a five-day festival starting from Dhan Teras to Dooj (The dates for this year is from 19th Oct 2006 to 23rd Oct 2006). These five days are most suited to perform pooja and recite mantras to energize yourself, charge the environment of your home and accelerate your career/ business. Select the right mantras and pooja depending on your astrological profile.

Shri Yantra
Shri Yantra - The Yantra of Goddess Lakshmi
Diwali is the time to invite wealth in your shop / office / showroom. Stick a silver swastika  back to back of your entrance. A Shri yantra, a Kanak Dhara Yantra and Kuber Yantra made of gold, silver or crystal and energized by mantras must be placed in your pooja to give you peace and prosperity.

Lucky Turtle
Lucky Turtle
A Venus Yantra perched in the southeast direction on a wooden console of your drawing room or lobby brings in good opportunities. If facing difficulty in earning money, keep a fish aquarium in the Southeast corner of your living room or study. A turtle along with a Shri Yantra placed in the North direction will find favors from superiors in your career. Chant a mantra that will reignite all these remedies.

The day immediately before Diwali is called Narak Chaturdasi. On this day we should dissolve all the negativity from our physical, mental and emotional body by chanting a suitable mantra. To remove the negativity from the house, light an earthen lamp with mustard oil. Place one lamp on the right side of the entrance facing outwards. In the drawing room the lamp should be kept in the North West, in pooja in the North east and in the kitchen in the East direction. In the bed room, place the lamp in the South West and in the children’s room in the South East. Follow this placement of lights on all five days of Diwali.

Another very effective method of dissolving negativity from the environment is to place raw salt (sea salt) dissolved in water in the drawing room/ bed room/ living room. This can be used in conjunction with the lamp placements suggested above.

Lakshmi Narayan on Garuda
Lakshmi Narayan
On Diwali, you should worship both Lakshmi and Narayan, as when you worship only Lakshmi she comes to your home riding on an Owl, which is her mount. Owl as we all know is not an auspicious animal. But when you worship Goddess Lakshmi along with her husband, Lord Vishnu, they enter the house mounted on Garuda, which is an auspicious animal and signifies prosperity with peace, health and harmony. It is believed that after three generations wealth and riches leave the house or dynasty. But if Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu are worshipped together, the atmosphere in the house becomes stable and favorable for  the coming generations.

Dear Maa Upma,

Is there any special mantra or prayers jointly for Laxmi Narayan or I can recite a mantra for Lord Vishnu and another one for Goddess Laxmi separately. In which order should they be worsjipped. Lord Vishnu first to Goddess Laxmi first?

Also when you say clean your house with sea salt. Is it rock salt or sea salt. May you kindly advise.

Regards,
Gunmayi.
