Intentions and the Present Continuous tense
October 10th 2006 06:43
In my first post on this blog, I had said that intentions are necessary when placing a Feng Shui or a Vastu cure in the house. This is called programming the sub-conscious or programming the environment. This programming has a very important significance in Reiki as well.
In this post, I explain how to create sentences for intentions in the most effective manner.
Psychologists and Reiki practitioners both believe that the the only tense that our sub-conscious understands the present continuous tense. Hence, intentions which are generally for the future have to made in present continuous tense. In other words, it should be in a language which signifies that the desired future state is happening right now.
Let us understand this with the help of an example,
Julie wants to marry John and she has placed a double happiness symbol on the South West corner of her room. While establishing the intent for this Feng Shui cure she should say, "By placing this double happiness symbol in my room, John is getting attracted to me, we are marrying and are very happy with each other."
If you see the above sentence - in her intention, Julie has actually expressed the intention to attract John, marry and be happy with him. In a normal case what she would have intended would be in future tense like, "I am placing this double happiness symbol to attract John, such that he marries me and we lead a happy life with each other."
If you observe, we always generally use the future tense when praying, "God, I want to marry John. Please make him marry him." In a way we are expressing our intentions to God and pleading with him for their fulfillment.
Try using the present continuous tense when praying and see its effectiveness.
God Bless You !!
