Master Bedroom - The one who sleeps in the South West Corner Rules the House

I recently met an ageing couple who wanted me to find a solution to the disharmony in their house. Their son who was staying with them was misbehaving with them. Neither was he taking any care of these ailing and ageing couple. The son used to abuse them, mistreat them publicly and blow up their money.
The house belonged to them and since the son was their only child, they wanted him to inherit the property after their demise. Out of their love for their son they were bearing with his misbehavior.
When I visited their house, I found that the old couple had made the West side room as their bedroom. The next room which in fact was the master bedroom located in the South West Corner was given to the son.
In Vastu, South West corner is earmarked to be the room of the master of the house. Anyone who sleeps in the south west corner, will rule the house. Hence the owner of the house should always occupy this room and should not give it to anyone else.
I advised them this change and once they followed it, they found that the son has become more receptive to their advise and has started respecting them. Naturally it was a happy ending to their problems.
Please see whether you, as owner of the house, are using the Southwest corner effectively.
