Tomorrow, India celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi, the birth date of Lord Ganesha – The elephant God. Surprisingly in India, Ganesha is worshipped by not only Hindus but people from other religions as well. In Mumbai, the commercial capital of India you can see people from all religion queued up to pay homage to the Elephant God. The ten days festivities starting from tomorrow was first started by Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a freedome fighter of repute, to bring people together as a community. He believed messages about freedom movement can be best disseminated in such communities.
Ganesha, is a God of Wisdom and a remover of obstacles which come in one’s path to success in endeavors. Due to this, all auspicious works in India are started with offerings to the Elephant God. All invitations, marriage cards, inaugurations have a special place for Lord Ganesha.
Since, Vastu and Feng Shui is all about symbolism, in this post I am depicting the symbolisms represented by Lord Ganesha.
If you place a Lord Ganesha figurine or painting in your home or office, look at it from this perspective to gain the most from this décor.
If you are a believer of Lord Ganesha, when you pray to him, look at Him with the objective to gain these traits in your conscience and way of life.
God Bless!!
