Category: Feng Shui
Ever wondered why many really rich tycoons are always pictured with aquariums in their office or home? Well it is said that water is where chi (chi is the chinese word for universal energy of life) gathers. The theory is that sheng chi (positive energy) that gathers at the aquarium is said to be beneficial.
Bountiful fish

To ensure that the water has yang energy, fishes are necessary. That is where a porcelain fish of bounty comes handy.

Not all of us can afford to keep fishes or have the time and energy to maintain an aquarium. The next best thing is place a porcelain fish. According to Chinese texts, place the Porcelain fish in the South East is said to bring to the owner bountiful wealth. The Southeast is said to be of element wood. As water nourishes wood, the Porcelain fish becomes the perfect symbol for this sector.

Believers of the Eight Mansions Feng Shui may place it in the Wealth corner as an enhancer of wealth. The chinese phonetic pronounciation of fish is "Yu" - A word taken to mean abundance and unending. Hence it is said to multiply your wealth. To get better results you can place coins or money inside the mouth of the fish. The large body of the fish speaks of prosperity and the smaller tail - the persons ability to maintain that wealth.
