When you work below a Beam
March 6th 2007 06:35
When I moved in a new house in a city where my husband took a new job, I had a peculiar problem. Everyday, while cooking, my head used to start aching and used to continue till two hours after cooking. Initially I thought it is a temporary problem and will get resolved automatically. But it did not. Fifteen days had passed and every single day, I had the same problem.
Then all of a sudden it clicked - while cooking, I was standing below a beam. The beam was actually putting pressure on my head. The strain in the iron bars in the beam was responsible for the stress in my head.
Anyone who works or studies below a beam faces a similar problem. Either he has an headache or he is unable to concentrate while working below the beam. There are only three solutions to solve this problem; either change the location of your work, or hide the beam by way of false ceiling or follow a simple Feng Shui cure explained in the post below.
The first solution may not always be possible, the second one is a costly proposition.
What I did to solve the problem is a very potent cure in Feng Shui.
Take two flutes with round ends on both sides. One both sides of the flutes tie red ribbon (thin ones). Now stick these flutes on the beam on the face of the beam that faces you when you work underneath it. The flutes should be stuck such that they form an inverted V when stuck on the beam.
This cure works like magic and gives instantaneous relief.
God Bless!
About the Picture : I have superimposed the Representative flutes for depiction on a picture from Really Long Link The encircled part shows the flutes pasted as an inverted V on the beam.
