Basic Tenets of Vastu: Layout of an Ideal House

In the "Basic tenets of Vastu" series of posts, I will explain Vastu principles in simple language such that all my interested readers can follow them easily without consulting a Vastu expert. If one is able to assimilate these simple principles explained in this series, and is able to relate to these principles when making a decision on his dwelling, he need not look any further as his house will be aligned to Vastu and help in achieve prosperity, health, wealth, harmony, love and peace - all a human wants in life but appears as a mirage to him.
In this first post on the topic, I and going to explain the basic layout of an ideal vastu aligned house. Of course you can use this when you are designing the layout of the house which you want to construct on a vacant land. Alternatively, if you are already staying in a bungalow, you can use the knowledge in this post to find out how much is your home aligned to Vastu.
When designing your home place the different rooms and places as follows:
Prayer Room - North East
Open Space - North East
Guest Room - North West
Kitchen - South East
Master Bedroom - South West
Bedroom for Children or married son - South
Living Room, drawing room and Dining Hall - West
Baths and Toilets - West
As per vastu it is fruitful to have greenery (garden) in the open space in North East.
