Basic Tenets of Vastu: Distribution of Weight in the building

Extending my earlier posts on height of the floor and height of the building in different parts of the plot as per the guidelines provided by Vastu, in this post I cover the distribution of weight of the building in different parts of the plot.
Before understanding the concept, it is important to understand that thicker walls, taller walls, staircase and overhead water tanks are some ways to make the weight of a part of the building heavy and shorter, thinner walls, underground water tank, basement, water pond, swimming pool are some ways to make a part of the building lighter.
As can be seen from the attached illustration, Vastu guides us to make the North East of the building lighter and South West heavier.
If you observe the my last 4 posts (including this one) you will realize that as per Vastu the North East - South West axis of any building/plot of land is the most important axis and if this is designed for the property as per Vastu guidelines, then you have made the building more than 50% Vastu Compliant.
