A mole means a permanent small dark spot on the human body. Moles are found on many parts of the body and can be black, honey color, red, and sometimes wheatish in color. It is a creation of nature and for many years are used as identification marks. The ancient civilization considered moles as significations of fate and reflection of personality of an individual.

Astrologically, moles reveal the nature and destiny of a person. They reveal important aspects of humanís life. The science of Moles is called Moleosophy. Moles are found by birth but it is observed that moles appear also during oneís life time and also disappear, change their size and color. This is an indication of change of fortune. A raised mole is called a wart.

Moles on the right side of a male body and left of a female body is considered auspicious. Honey brown, emerald green, and red colored moles are considered more auspicious and benefic than black moles.

As per astrology the significance of moles increases with the size of the mole.

However, care should be taken as some moles can sometimes become cancerous and hence a health threat.

I found a freeware created by Mysticboard which gives astrological interpretations of moles in different parts of the body.
Download it from here. It is fun. An article in Kamranmian@blogspot is also good to read.
