After every 100 years comes the date 07/07/07. Number 7 has a special significance in almost all religions and culture.

There are 7 Continents
There are 7 Seas
7 wonders of the ancient world

In India 7 is a holy number and Indian Marriages are solemnised by the couple taking 7 pheras (rounds) of the holy fire. In India marriages are said to happen for 7 births.


Islam believes that there are 7 heavens and 7 earths.

In Christianitiy 7 virtues are recommended to be followed by followers - Chastity, moderation, liberality, charity, meekness and humility.

and there are 7 Sins to avoid - extravagance, glittony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride.

In Buddhism - Lord Buddha is believed to have taken 7 steps immediately after birth.

The Polar star (the Ursa Major constellation) has 7 stars.

There are 7 Gods in Japanese mythology.

There are 7 energy points (chakras) in the human body.

7 octats in Indian Music - Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni

and Number 7 represents Venus in Indian Astrology and Venus is the Goddess of Love.

Interesting... also in Buddhism, if I'm not mistaken, there are seven levels of elightenment.... and we also can't overlook the simple and obvious fact that there are 7 days in each week.
